1.1 Introduction

1.1.1 Intended Use

This robotic lawnmower is intended to be used by residential homeowners for autonomous, programmable lawn care. {“autonomous, programmable lawn care” from the HUSQVARNA safety content} It is designed primarily for cutting grass on well-maintained lawns or residential properties. This is a maintenance lawnmower that maintains the height of the grass consistently. Using the mower, battery, charging station, and power supply for purposes other than their intended use could endanger you and bystanders. {IEC 60335-2-107 [7.12.d,e]}

1.1.3.1 Safety Alert Classifications

The safety-alert symbol shown in this manual and on the machine identifies important safety messages that you must follow to prevent accidents.

Safety-alert symbol appears above information that alerts you to unsafe actions or situations and is followed by the word DANGER, WARNING, or CAUTION.

DANGER

Danger indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.

WARNING

Warning indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.

CAUTION

Caution indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.

1.2 Safety

  • Read, understand, and follow all instructions and warnings in this guide and the Operator’s Manual before using the machine.

  • Improperly using or maintaining the machine could result in serious injury or death. To reduce this potential, follow all safety instructions.

  • Do not allow children or untrained people to operate or service this machine.

  • Keep bystanders and children away from the machine, charging station, and power supply during operation.

  • Inspect the area where you will use the machine and remove all objects that could interfere with the operation of the machine.

  • The blades are sharp; contacting the blades can result in serious injury. Press the stop button and wait for all moving parts to stop before unclogging, servicing, or transporting the machine.

  • Keep your hands and feet away from moving parts on and under the machine.

  • Do not stand, sit, or ride on the machine or allow others to do so.

  • Before servicing the machine, turn the power switch underneath the machine to the OFF position.

  • When servicing the battery, do not wear jewelry and tie back long hair.

  • CAUTION—A mistreated battery may present a risk of fire, explosion, or chemical burn.

1.3 Unboxing Instructions

1.4 Charging the Mower for the First Time

WARNING

A power supply plugged into a non-GFCI or non-RCD receptacle could result in electric shock.

Plug the power supply into only a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) or residual current device (RCD) receptacle with a tripping current not more than 30 mA.

WARNING

A malfunctioning or damaged charging station, low-voltage cable, or power supply could overheat and cause an increased risk of fire.

  • Do not install the charging station, low-voltage cable, or power supply near flammable or combustible materials.

  • If the power supply to the charging station is malfunctioning or damaged, disconnect the power supply and contact an Authorized Service Dealer to replace it.

Find an outlet to temporarily set up your charging station and charge your mower for 45 minutes.

1.6 Downloading the MyToro® App (Required for Setup)

1.7 Setting up the Mower

The app will guide you through setting up and operating your mower:

  1. Open the MyToro app.
  2. Log in to an existing MyToro account or create a new account.
  3. Under My Equipment, select Add Equipment.
  4. Follow the steps within the app to register and set up your mower.

1.8 Storage

The Operator’s Manual contains complete instructions for storing your mower.

1.8.1 Storage Safety

WARNING

Improperly storing the mower and its battery may result in an increased risk of fire and/or electric shock; this may cause personal injury and/or property damage.

  • Disconnect and remove the battery from the mower before storing the mower and/or its battery inside your home.

  • Follow the instructions for properly storing the mower.

When you are not using the mower, store it indoors in a dry, secure place out of the reach of children or other unauthorized users.
